Moog Minitaur | Jimi’s Toolbox

Quick Review

It’s a rad box! I use the Minitaur for creating and deepening that low end bass. Has a huge thick sound. Fat is an understatement. To my ears it starts to sound a little cheesy on the higher notes. What I like to do is use it as a rote note enforcers on the base line while a lead bass does the walking or blast out some smooth kicks with it. Ohh and arpeggiated low pass, never enough arpeggiated low pass.

Favorite Part

Classic Moog sound without the costs of the bigger machines. Best bang for buck analog bass.

Shortfalls

The USB functionality is buggy. I use it only as midi in>audio out to mixer. According to Moog, a firmware update is in the works.
